We have a comprehensive and well equipped fleet of 56 training aircraft allocated between our Oxford & Phoenix training centres plus we have a further 34 aircraft on order:
Our aircraft are all instrument equipped with Garmin 430 GPS or Garmin 1000 and airliner style Horizontal Situation Indicators (HSIs) and Radio Magnetic Indicators (RMIs). This level of instrumentation ensures that your training is focussed upon your ultimate destination - the complexity of the airliner cockpit.
Our aircraft are well maintained by our own in-house maintenance centres which have reputations for quality and workmanship of the highest order. There can be no compromise whatsoever when it comes to flight safety.
The Multi Pilot Jet training centre at our Oxford Academy houses two twinjet simulators based on the Boeing 737-400, both of which are mounted on a 6-axis motion platform and fitted with computer-generated visual displays. The centre is also home to a fixed base CRJ-200 simulator with modern visual technology and wrap-around screens.
All simulators are fitted with airliner systems, dual Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS), dual Flight Management Systems (FMS), Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting Systems (EICAS), Flight Directors (FD) and Auto Pilots (AP). The CRJ-200 also offers students the chance to experience modern electronic flight deck technology, including Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) and Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS).
Our B737 simulators, unique amongst flight training schools, along with the CRJ-200, are able to provide a realistic airline-training environment and are able to facilitate a good ‘bridge’ transition from ab initio training into type training and onto airline service.
